A Lexicon of Emotions
A Lexicon of Emotions is a compilation of songs that I regard as my masterpieces. The chord progressions are similar to Nick Johnston’s style of having impeccable tonal transitions. These songs are meant to instill strong mixed emotions with a sense of relief or resolution at the end of every song.
When creating tracks for this album, I take my sweet time, allowing myself to generate the best possible ideas. It takes months and months to finish a piece, making every release worth all the effort that has been put in.

Water
Composed by: Stanley Poon
Date Released: 7.6.2025
Water is a dreamy instrumental inspired by the sound of waves, at least to me. This is another masterpiece with a lot of color and emotions. It’s funny because because I’ve been trying to finish this song since Feb of 2025, but unfortunately, my Solano plug-in couldn’t be mounted on Garageband and I couldn’t get the bright, crystal-y strat sound that I was aiming for. Because of this, I put this project to the side. Alas, lo and behold, I think I did a really good job with the mixing despite the setback.
Light
Composed by: Stanley Poon
Date Released: 11.17.2024
Light is an instrumental that captures the scope of one’s challenges and resolution. A song influenced by Fujii Kaze’s Shinunoga E-wa piano line.
Dreams
Composed by: Stanley Poon
Date Released: 7.17.2023
Dreams is my masterpiece. This song’s message tells of a story that has been told thousands and thousands of times—and that is: if we are capable of dreaming about something that we want, then we have all the capacity of turning it into reality. Inspired by the speech of Les Brown.
