Sezanne, Tokyo

Sezanne is a Modern French fine dining restaurant found on 7th floor of The Four Seasons Hotel in Tokyo. Elegant, sophisticated and top notch are words to describe this magnificent institution adored by the discerning high society diners of Japan. A former Three-Michelin Star awardee under Daniel Calvert’s reign, the chef’s recent departure also took away the accolade that mattered the most. Despite the setback, a new chef has been taking the punches to bring back the restaurant’s former glory. Currently, Sezanne sits at the 16th place of Asia’s 50 Best Restaurant List and number four in all of Japan.

There’s not a lot to say about Sezanne. In fact, when perfection is not just an uttered word but is also a force put in motion, sometimes the best compliment is just to sit still and admire.

I don’t have to tell you that the place is beautiful and well maintained.

I don’t need to expound on the attentive and professional service.

I don’t need to reiterate on the perfect culinary techniques that were presented and showcased.

And I don’t need to mention that they happened to make every ingredient shine.

These people know what they are doing, operating at such a high level like this has been scarce, but a blessing to those who are able to sit down and experience.

Service: 10/10 The service was attentive. Fast and calculated. They were friendly and talked when they had to, and they were attentive and quiet when they needed.

Ambience: 10/10 The whole restaurant was well maintained and had a pleasant atmosphere that complimented the vibe that they were trying to showcase.

Thank you, Sezanne team. We will come back.
